Soil & More International BV (Soil & More) is active in the setting-up and management of large-scale composting sites in developing countries as well as CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) emission reduction and carbon assessment projects.
Soil & More was founded in 2007 on the principle that economy and ecology are inextricably linked. The company's corporate objective is to create commercial value through ecological and ethical innovation.
During its short period of existence, Soil & More has grown significantly, continuously expanding and offering its services all over the world. In addition, the company was nominated for the prestigious "Dutch Innovation and sustainability award" 2008 and won the second price of the Jan Huygen van Linschoten prize on February 9, 2009. This award honors innovative international practice, the ability to compete with the best in one’s particular field and excellent financial management.
Soil & More is currently active in Egypt, Brazil, Mexico and South Africa with further cooperation projects in other countries in the planning phase. Currently,Soil & More produces about 180,000 tons of compost annually and reducesgreenhouse gas emissions by about 150,000 tons a year.
